When you make a call on Saleshandy Dialer, you're not charged per call. You're charged per minute, and different activities within that call consume different amounts of credits.

This guide breaks down exactly how credits work, what each service costs, and how to estimate your monthly usage so there are no surprises on your billing cycle.

What Are Dialer Credits?

Credits are the currency that powers your calling activity on Saleshandy Dialer. Every minute you spend on a call, every minute of recording, every voicemail drop, all of it deducts credits from your account balance.

Your plan comes with a fixed number of credits every month. Once those are used up, you can top up with add-on credits to keep calling without interruption.

How Many Credits Does Your Plan Include?

Saleshandy Dialer comes in two plans:

  • Dialer Starter — 1,000 credits per month

  • Dialer Pro — 2,500 credits per month

Any unused credits from the previous month expire, they do not carry over. If you need more credits before the cycle ends, you can purchase add-on credits at any time (more on that below).

How Credits Stack on a Single Call

This is the part most users miss. Multiple services can run at the same time during a call, and each one deducts credits simultaneously.

For example, if you make an outgoing call with recording enabled, you're deducting credits for both the call and the recording every minute they're active.

Here's how the math works for common scenarios:

  • Outgoing call only (no recording): 1.84 credits/min

  • Outgoing call + recording: 1.84 + 0.26 = 2.10 credits/min

  • Outgoing call + recording + transcription: 1.84 + 0.26 + 0.61 = 2.71 credits/min

  • Incoming call + recording + transcription: 1.28 + 0.26 + 0.61 = 2.15 credits/min

  • Call forwarding: 3.26 credits/min (charged for the duration the call is forwarded)

Real Examples

Example 1: A 5-minute outgoing call with no recording

5 × 1.84 = 9.2 credits

Example 2: A 5-minute outgoing call with recording

5 × (1.84 + 0.26) = 5 × 2.10 = 10.5 credits

Example 3: A 5-minute outgoing call with recording and transcription

5 × (1.84 + 0.26 + 0.61) = 5 × 2.71 = 13.55 credits

Example 4: A 2-minute voicemail drop

2 × 1.84 = 3.68 credits

Example 5: A 3-minute incoming call with recording and transcription

3 × (1.28 + 0.26 + 0.61) = 3 × 2.15 = 6.45 credits

How Far Do Your Monthly Credits Go?

To give you a rough sense of what your plan covers:

  • On Dialer Starter (1,000 credits), with recording and transcription enabled on every outgoing call (2.71 credits/min), you get approximately 369 minutes (~6 hours) of talk time per month.

  • On Dialer Pro (2,500 credits), under the same conditions, you get approximately 922 minutes (~15 hours) of talk time per month.

If you disable recording, those numbers go up significantly. Outgoing calls without any extras (1.84 credits/min) give you roughly 543 minutes on Starter and 1,358 minutes on Pro.

The more features you use per call, the faster your credits are consumed, so it's worth being intentional about when you have recording and transcription enabled.

Monthly Credits vs. Add-On Credits

There are two types of credits in your account:

  • Monthly credits come with your plan and reset every billing cycle. These are used first whenever you make a call or use any service.

  • Add-on credits are purchased separately. They never expire and kick in automatically once your monthly credits are exhausted.

You don't need to switch anything manually, Saleshandy uses your monthly credits first, and when those run out, it pulls from your add-on balance seamlessly.

What Happens When Credits Run Out?

If both your monthly credits and add-on credits are exhausted, you won't be able to make calls until you top up. You can purchase add-on credits directly from the Dialer module at any time, no need to wait for your billing cycle to renew.

Larger packs cost less per credit, if your team is calling at high volume consistently, buying a bigger pack upfront is more economical.

Where to Check Your Credit Balance

You can see your remaining credits in two places:

  • In the Dialer module — the top right of the screen shows your current credit balance at a glance.

  • In Billing and Subscription — go to the Dialer section under Outreach to see a detailed breakdown of your monthly credit usage and any add-on credits remaining.
