Hello SalesHandy user,

Weā€™re excited to announce the introduction of new verification sub-statuses for prospect verification, which will help you gain more granular insights into email verification.

This update empowers you to further refine your email outreach and optimize your email campaigns.

Why This Matters:

With these new sub-statuses, you can:

  • Bifurcate prospects more effectively, leveraging both their main status and specific sub-status.

  • Drill down into the data to identify patterns and create more targeted segments for your email outreach.

This extra layer of data allows for a more strategic approach, ensuring that your email campaigns are more effective, with better deliverability and engagement.
ā€‹
In this basis, you will be able to filter out the data on the basis of the sub-status, so that you will be able to perform more targeted outreach.

Status and Sub-Status Categories in Saleshandy:

Saleshandy uses verification statuses and sub-statuses to provide more detailed insights into the quality and engagement potential of your prospects. Hereā€™s a breakdown of the categories:

Valid : These are prospects whose email addresses are confirmed as valid.

  1. Alias_address

    • These are email addresses that act as forwarders or aliases, forwarding emails to a different, real inbox (e.g., [email protected] ā†’ [email protected]). Though valid, they are not real inboxes.

  2. Leading_period_removed

    • If a valid Gmail address starts with a period (e.g., "[email protected]"), it will be adjusted by removing the period to ensure compatibility across mailing systems.

  3. Alternate

    • These are valid email addresses, usually secondary ones that users use for sign-ups but don't engage with frequently. They often contain numbers or special characters (e.g., [email protected]) and are useful for segmentation.

Do Not Mail Sub-Statuses:

  1. Does_not_accept_mail

    • Domains that only send mail but do not accept it, making them undeliverable.

  2. Failed_syntax_check

    • Emails that fail to comply with the correct syntax and RFC standards for valid email addresses.

  3. Possible_typo

    • Email addresses that belong to commonly misspelled popular domains (e.g., gmial.com instead of gmail.com).

  4. Mailbox_not_found

    • Email addresses that appear valid but the mailbox does not exist.

  5. No_dns_entries

    • Email addresses with domains lacking proper DNS records, which can prevent email delivery.

  6. Mailbox_quota_exceeded

    • Mailboxes that have exceeded their storage quota and temporarily cannot receive emails.

  7. Unroutable_ip_address

    • Email domains that point to an IP address that cannot be routed, preventing delivery.

Risky: These prospects are uncertain and may require closer monitoring.

  1. Catch-all: These email addresses belong to a domain that accepts all emails, valid or invalid. Validating these requires sending an email and waiting for a bounce. It's best to segment these emails into a catch-all group, as some may bounce.

  2. Unknown: We couldnā€™t validate these emails due to various issues such as offline mail servers or anti-spam systems. Typically, around 80% of these emails are likely invalid. You can submit them for re-validation without extra charges.

Sub-categories for Unknown:

  • Unknown_Not validated: The email couldnā€™t be validated due to an error.

  • Unknown_While validating error: An error occurred while attempting to validate the email.

  • Unknown_Failed smtp connection: The mail server didnā€™t allow an SMTP connection, usually indicating an invalid email.

  • Unknown_Server disconnected while validating: The server disconnected during validation, typically pointing to an invalid email.

  • Unknown_Not validated temporarily: The email couldnā€™t be validated temporarily, often due to server-related issues.

  • Unknown_Server unresponsive: The server didnā€™t respond during the validation attempt, likely indicating an invalid email.

  • Unknown_Temporary server error: The mail server returned a temporary error, often leading to an invalid email.

  • Unknown_Timeout: The server took too long to respond, and the email is likely invalid.

Bad: These prospects should generally be avoided as they are flagged for potential issues.

  1. Abuse

    • These emails are from people known to click abuse links in emails, often flagged as abusers or complainers. We recommend not emailing these addresses.

  2. Invalid

    • These email addresses are determined to be invalid for various reasons, such as mailbox not found or non-receiving addresses. Please delete them from your email list. They are not capable of receiving emails.

Invalid Sub-Statuses:

  1. Does_not_accept_mail

    • These domains only send mail and don't accept it, making them undeliverable.

  2. Failed_syntax_check

    • Emails that fail to comply with the correct syntax and RFC standards for valid email addresses.

  3. Possible_typo

    • Email addresses belonging to commonly misspelled popular domains (e.g., gmial.com instead of gmail.com).

  4. Mailbox_not_found

    • Email addresses that are valid in syntax but the mailbox does not exist.

  5. No_dns_entries

    • Email addresses with domains lacking proper DNS records, making it difficult or impossible for mail programs to deliver emails.

  6. Mailbox_quota_exceeded

    • Mailboxes that have exceeded their storage quota and temporarily cannot receive emails.

  7. Unroutable_ip_address

    • Email domains that point to an unroutable IP address, preventing successful email delivery.
