Say goodbye to all that manual work and say hello to our awesome new feature! 🚀 Now you can import email accounts in bulk using a CSV file, making your life a whole lot easier and saving you heaps of time! 😎

Bulk Import Email Account

Let's dive into this step-by-step guide and get you started on streamlining your email management process! 📧

Follow the path to Import the Bulk Email account.

Settings > Email Account > SMTP/IMAP > Bulk Import Via CSV

How to Bulk Import Email Account?

Step 1️⃣ Download Sample CSV

Download the Sample CSV File First, grab the attached sample CSV file, and update the connection details without changing the header names and remove the remaining rows. Easy peasy! 🎯

💡Note: You can add up to 100 email accounts in the CSV, and it shouldn't exceed 5 MB in size. Got it? 😉

Step 2️⃣ Update Email Account Field

Update the Email Account Field Make sure you don't miss this important step! The "Email Account" field is mandatory, so enter the email addresses in a valid format and don't leave any row blank. You got this! 💪

And hey, adding accurate information in all fields is good practice, so go for it! 🌟

Step 3️⃣Update Email Service Provider Static Value

Update Email Service Provider Now, let's tackle that "Email Service Provider" field.

Below are the values allowed in the Email Service Provider field(copy-paste to avoid failure):

  • Gsuite

  • O365

  • Outlook

  • Yahoo

  • Zoho

  • Godaddy

  • Sendgrid

  • Yandex

  • Other

⚠️Note: Please note that these fields are case-insensitive.

Step 4️⃣Update Sender's Name

Update the Sender's Name Let's add a personal touch!

Update the sender's name in the corresponding column of the email address field. This will be used when sending emails from Saleshandy. 🖊️

Step 5️⃣Update Password

Update Password Passwords, passwords! 🔒

Fill in the respective passwords for the email accounts. Use the corresponding columns if you need to use different passwords for SMTP and IMAP. If the IMAP password is empty, it automatically takes the SMTP password. Easy, right? 😉

⚠️Important: Please note that if the Email Address, Email Service Provider, Sender’s Name, and Password are not updated in the CSV, a successful connection will not be established.

Here are some other fields which are required to update for a successful connection in case of Email Service Provider is selected as ‘Other.’

  • SMTP Username

  • SMTP Password

  • SMTP Host

  • SMTP Port

  • SMTP Encryption

  • IMAP Username

  • IMAP Password

  • IMAP Host

  • IMAP Port

  • IMAP Encryption

You need to add Host and Ports as per your configuration if you are using a Custom SMTP or ‘Other’ Service provider from the list.

Step 6️⃣ Update Email Account Settings (Optional)

While uploading your email account via CSV, you can update the email account settings,

  • Daily quota

  • Sending interval in Seconds(Minimum)

  • Sending interval in Seconds (Maximum)

  • Ramp up email start number

  • Ramp up Percentage

  • Bcc

  • Signature HTML

  • Owner (If Applicable)

Note: If the value is not found in the CSV corresponding to the email account, then the default value will be updated for the particular email account If a value is invalid(e.g., interval too low, updated text in percentage), then also default value will be updated. 🎛️

Step 7️⃣ Upload a Valid File

Now comes the moment of truth! 🤞 Upload that valid file, and watch the magic happen. Any duplicate email addresses or rows with empty "email address" fields will be skipped, and you can download the skipped rows in a CSV format. Stay organized! 📂

And there you have it! 🎉

Your email accounts are now ready to be connected. Just click on "Connect" and let Saleshandy do its thing. It might take a little while, but you'll receive an email once all the email accounts are successfully attempted for connection. 📨

What is the ‘Owner’ field in a CSV?

  • As an admin, you can now connect email addresses for your team members by just entering their team member id from the ‘teams’ tab.

  • If you keep this field empty, the email account will be connected to the one performing it.

  • You can have the same email address and its setting with different owner IDs.

  • This does not apply to the Saleshandy Agency Portal(the email account is already shared).
