Hello there, Saleshandy users! 👋
Let's talk about a super cool technique called "Email Ramp-up" that can boost your email deliverability and keep you away from the dreaded spam folder! 📩🚫
🎢 Email Ramp-up
What is Email Ramp-up?🤔
Email Ramp-up is a method used to increase your daily email sending limit over time gradually.
Instead of bombarding your recipients with a ton of emails all at once, you start with a small number and then gradually increase it each day.
This way, you build a positive sending reputation and reduce the risk of being flagged as spam or having your account blocked. 📈📧
Why Email Ramp-up is so Helpful? 🤷♂️
By taking it slow and steady, you establish trust with email providers, making it more likely for your emails to reach the recipient's inbox. 💌📬
Email Ramp-up can work wonders in keeping your emails structured and well-received, especially if you're running mass cold email campaigns with a new domain or email account. 🏆
When to Consider Using Email Ramp-up?🗓️
Here are some handy guidelines:
1️⃣ If your domain is fresh and new 🆕
2️⃣ If you send a lot of emails, increase your sending volume slowly ⏳
3️⃣ If you send emails daily, you can ramp up quicker than if you send weekly 📅
4️⃣ If you send emails only to subscribers, you can increase the sending volume quicker since they have opted-in 🙋♀️🙋♂️
During the ramp-up process, keep a close eye on your email analytics and feedback loops to ensure successful delivery and prevent being marked as spam. Remember, building a positive sending reputation takes time, so patience is key.
How to Set up Email Ramp-up in Saleshandy?😎
Now, the fun part - setting up Email Ramp-up in Saleshandy!
🪜Steps to Follow
1️⃣ Log in to your Saleshandy account and head to Settings > Email accounts.
2️⃣ Choose the email account you want to ramp up and click on Email Sent to navigate to Sending Settings.
3️⃣ Toggle on the "Daily ramp-up" option. Next, Select the number to start with in "Start by" and the range to increase by. We recommend starting with 5 and increasing by 10-20% daily. 🚀
4️⃣ You can also set the Maximum number of emails sent out in a day under the Total Number of emails per day section.
And voilà!🎉You're all set! Just click Save, and your Email Ramp-up will be in action!📈💨
Now, let's see how it works in Saleshandy with a super cool example:
Let's say you start with a sending limit of 10 emails and increase it by 10% daily until it hits 200. Here's how the magic unfolds:
Day 1: Send 10 emails 📧
Day 2: Send 11 emails 📧
Day 3: Send 12 emails 📧
Day 4: Send 13 emails 📧
Day 5: Send 15 emails 📧
Day 6: Send 16 emails 📧
Day 7: Send 18 emails and so on... 📧
Pretty awesome, right? It'll take approximately 33 days to reach 200.
And hey, don't worry, if the system reaches the maximum number of emails it can send on the last day, it won't exceed it! Safety first! 👍

I just wanted to let you know that email ramp-up can be turned on after at least 2 - 3 weeks of warming up your email account. Hence, if your email account is very new to cold emailing, go as the below steps:
Please ensure that DMARC, SPF, DKIM, and Custom tracking domains are set for your email account's domain.
Turn on the warmup process, and do not start your outreach for at least 3 - 4 weeks.
After 3 weeks of warming up your email account, please turn on the ramp-up to gradually start the sending process with a low sending limit and increase it daily using the ramp-up.
My email account is old; should I use ramp-up?
My email account is old; should I use ramp-up?
You may consider ramp-up if the account is not used to send high-volume emails. i.e., If your email account is 2 years old or you have barely used it to send emails, starting to send 50 or 60 emails/day from day one is suspicious behavior for the ESP.
You should ramp up unless your account is actively used and has a good reputation.🧓
I got an error, and first, it sent only 1. Here is the error "Message failed: 550 5.4.6 Unusual sending activity detected. Please try after some time. <a href=https://www.zoho.com/mail/help/usage-policy.html target=_blank>Learn more.</a>" I thought when I turned it back on, it would auto-reset

If you're a Zoho User, this might be the possibility:
To be on the same page, did you happen to check if Zoho does not block your Zoho emails? If so, please get it unblocked with Zoho before you start warm-up.
Some of my email addresses, I warmed up, but haven't used for 2 months. I tried to warm them up again but met an error. Would you like me to warm this up again since no emails have gone out over the last 2 months? How do I reset the email warmup? Because when I turn the warm-up back on, it sends a lot of emails

Yes, it is necessary to warm up your email addresses again if no emails have been sent in the last two months. Since your account has not been used to send high-volume emails recently, starting to send a large number of emails suddenly may be considered suspicious behavior by the Email Service Provider (ESP). To avoid this, you should ramp up your email sending gradually to build a positive sending reputation and ensure successful delivery. Start very slow with the warm-up and increase the warm-up reply rate to 30% for better results.
How many emails should I start ramp-up with? How much should I set as an increment limit?
How many emails should I start ramp-up with? How much should I set as an increment limit?
It totally depends upon the current status of email accounts. If email accounts are fairly new, start very low, i.e., 5 emails/day, and increase it by 5-15% daily. However, if your email accounts are actively used for email exchanges, you can start 10-20 emails/day and increase it by 15-20% daily.
But, this is recommended only if your domain reputation is great and emails are actively used. 💪👍
