Getting Started with Saleshandy - LinkedIn Chrome Extension

Written by Malav

Saleshandy LinkedIn Chrome Extension is a Chrome side-panel extension that turns LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator into a single workspace for B2B prospecting.

Instead of jumping between 3–5 tools every time you find an interesting profile, the extension surfaces the right actions right beside LinkedIn: reveal email, enrich company, save to list, add to sequence. It never covers any content on the page.

This article walks you through everything you need to know to install the extension and start prospecting in minutes.

What You Can Do with Saleshandy LinkedIn Chrome Extension

  • Reveal verified email and phone for any LinkedIn or Sales Navigator profile: 1 credit per email, 7 credits for email + phone.

  • Enrich company data: headcount by department, funding rounds, tech stack, and news, all in one click.

  • Bulk reveal contacts from LinkedIn people search results or a company's employee list.

  • Save leads and companies to your Saleshandy lists.

  • Add contacts to sequences and prospects without leaving LinkedIn.

  • Works on both standard LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator: profiles, company pages, people search results, and account lists.

Installing Saleshandy LinkedIn Chrome Extension

Saleshandy LinkedIn Chrome Extension is installed directly from within your Saleshandy account. No Chrome Web Store required.

Where to find the install option

You'll see the install prompt in three places inside the Saleshandy web app:

  1. Profile dropdown (top-right navigation) → "Download Chrome Extension"

  2. Top banner: a slim blue banner shown on every main page (Prospects, Sequences, Lead Finder) until you install

  3. Lead Finder empty state: an inline link below the AI Search bar: "If you're looking to capture leads straight from LinkedIn, then Download Chrome Extension ↗"

⚠️ If you've already installed the extension and logged in, these prompts disappear automatically. No need to dismiss them.

Step-by-step installation

  1. Click any "Download Chrome Extension" or "Install & Claim" CTA in the Saleshandy web app.

    • The ZIP file begins downloading automatically in the background.

    • The install guide modal opens at the same time.

  2. Once the ZIP downloads, extract it to a permanent folder on your computer. Don't delete the folder after extracting. Chrome loads the extension directly from it.

  3. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions.

  4. Turn on Developer Mode (toggle in the top-right corner of the extensions page).

  5. Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder you extracted in step 2.

  6. The Saleshandy LinkedIn Chrome Extension appears in your Chrome toolbar. Click it, then log in with your Saleshandy account.

  7. Navigate to any LinkedIn or Sales Navigator page. You'll see the Saleshandy launcher button floating on the right edge of your screen.

⚠️ If the ZIP didn't download automatically, click "Re-download" inside the install modal. It stays visible as a fallback throughout the process.

🎁 50 Free Credits on First Install

On your first successful install and login, 50 free credits are added to your account automatically. No code needed. This happens once per account; reinstalling on a different device or browser won't grant additional credits.

🌐 How Auto-Context Works

The extension watches the LinkedIn and Sales Navigator URL as you browse and loads the right view automatically. You never have to tell it what you're looking at.

Page you're on

What loads in the panel

LinkedIn profile (/in/someone)

Person view: identity card, reveal CTAs, details

Sales Navigator profile

Person view: same experience, pulled from SN data

LinkedIn company page (/company/acme)

Company view: about, people, growth, tech, news

LinkedIn or SN company employees (/company/acme/people/)

People tab: full employee list with filters and bulk reveal

LinkedIn people search (/search/results/people/)

Search Results view: lead cards, bulk reveal

Sales Navigator lead lists / account pages

Person or Company view depending on context

Any other page

Empty state: "Navigate to a profile or company"

Each page change shows a brief Navigating Loader (a pulsing Saleshandy logo with shimmer bars) while the context is fetched. It clears in under a second.

🔎 Revealing a Contact on a Person Profile

When you open any LinkedIn or Sales Navigator profile, the panel loads the Person view automatically.

Before you reveal

You'll see:

  • The person's identity card: name, title, company, location, and a brief summary.

  • An amber ★ Decision Maker badge next to the name if the profile meets decision-maker criteria.

  • Two primary action buttons:

    • View Email: 1 credit

    • View Email + Phone: 7 credits

  • A Person's Details panel showing Department and Experience, with Active experience, Tenure in role, and Skills shown as blurred placeholders.

Revealing the email

  1. Click View Email.

  2. You'll see a "Revealing emails…" spinner for about a second.

  3. The email address appears inline. Click the copy icon to grab it.

  4. Four action cards slide in below: Save to List, Save as Prospect, Add to Sequence, and Add Tags.

  5. The locked fields in Person's Details unblur. Active experience, Tenure in role, and Skills all become readable.

⚠️ If you've already revealed the email and then click "+ Reveal Phone (6 more credits)", only the 6-credit phone delta is charged. The email reveal is not charged again.

After reveal, what you can do

  • Save to List: expands inline (no modal). Pick from your lists. Already-saved lists show a green ✓. You can save the same lead to multiple lists.

  • Save as Prospect: pushes the contact straight into Saleshandy Prospects without going through the list flow.

  • Add to Sequence: pick a sequence and a step, then enrol them directly.

  • Add Tags: type a tag and press Enter or click Add. Tags appear as removable chips.

🏢 Enriching a Company Profile

When you visit any LinkedIn company page, the panel loads the Company view. You'll see the company card and several sections in a locked, blurred state.

Before enrichment

Even before enriching, you can:

  • Click View Decision Makers to jump straight to the People list filtered by decision makers.

  • Click Save to List to save the company to a list right away (see the toggle note below).

  • Click Add Tags to tag the company for later.

Enriching the company

  1. Click Enrich Company (0.1 credits).

  2. An "Enriching company…" spinner runs for about 1.4 seconds across all locked sections.

  3. Once done:

    • A small green dot appears on the company logo as your enrichment confirmation.

    • All sections unlock and show real data.

    • The company is automatically added to Settings → Saved Companies.

What you get after enrichment

  • About: full description, Founded, Industry, Type, B2B flag, SIC and NAIC codes.

  • People: total headcount with a "View all →" link, plus breakdowns by department and designation with relative share bars.

  • Growth: total funding raised, last round type, last round date, and investors.

  • Technology: tech stack grouped by category (Cloud, Languages, Analytics, CRM).

  • News & Insights: recent news cards, top topics, and competitors.

You can drag any section up or down using the handle that appears on hover to reorder them to your preference.

Save to List, with or without enrichment

The Save to List card is always visible. When the company is not yet enriched, the dropdown shows a "Save with Enrichment" toggle (default: ON):

  • Toggle ON → "Enrich & Save to List": enriches the company and saves it to the selected list in one action (+0.1 credits).

  • Toggle OFF: saves the company to the list without spending enrichment credits.

Once a company is already enriched, the toggle disappears automatically.

👥 Working with the People List

You can reach the People list in two ways:

  1. From the Company view: click View Decision Makers (opens filtered to decision makers) or View all → on the People stat card.

  2. Directly via LinkedIn URL: navigate to /company/acme/people/ and the panel auto-opens the People tab.

People list layout

  • Decision Makers tab: only profiles flagged as decision makers.

  • All tab: every employee.

  • Saved tab: contacts whose email or phone you've already revealed this session.

Each row shows a checkbox, avatar (with amber ★ for decision makers), name, title · department, and location.

Filtering the list

Click the funnel icon to expand filters:

Checkbox: when checked, hides any lead whose email or phone has already been revealed. Shows only contacts you haven't spent credits on yet.

A count badge on the funnel icon updates live as you filter. Click Clear all (bottom-left) and then Search to apply or reset your filters.

A note on Net New Only: this filter is useful when you're working through a company's employee list over multiple sessions and don't want to accidentally re-reveal contacts you've already saved. Check it at the start of a prospecting session to see only the fresh leads remaining in the Decision Makers and All tabs.

⚠️ Revealed contacts automatically move to the Saved tab. No extra steps needed.

🔍 Bulk Reveal on Search Results Pages

When you visit linkedin.com/search/results/people/ or run a lead search on Sales Navigator, the panel loads the Search Results view, a dedicated layout showing all leads on the current page.

  • The header shows "Results for [your search query]" and a count of leads on the page.

  • Each lead card shows name, title, company, and location. Cards you've already revealed show the email inline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this work on LinkedIn Sales Navigator?

Yes. The Saleshandy LinkedIn Chrome Extension works on both standard LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Profile pages, company/account pages, and people search results all trigger the correct panel view automatically.

I can't find the extension install option. Where do I look?

Log in to your Saleshandy account and look for the "Download Chrome Extension" option in the profile dropdown menu (top-right corner), or the blue banner at the top of the Prospects, Lead Finder, or Sequences pages.

The ZIP downloaded but nothing happened after I loaded it in Chrome. What do I check?

Make sure Developer Mode is turned on at chrome://extensions before clicking "Load unpacked." If the extension loaded but isn't showing on LinkedIn, try refreshing your LinkedIn tab. The content script activates on page load.

I moved or deleted the extracted extension folder. What happens?

Chrome will show an error for the extension. Go back to chrome://extensions, remove the broken entry, then click "Re-download" in the install modal inside Saleshandy to get a fresh ZIP and repeat the load unpacked steps.

Will I be charged again if I switch tabs and come back to a revealed contact?

No. Reveal state is held for the entire session. If you revealed an email and then switch to the Company tab and back, the email is still there. No re-charge.

I enriched a company, then drilled into the People list and came back. Is the enrichment gone?

No. Enrichment state persists across tab switches and drill-ins within the same session. The green dot on the company logo confirms it's still enriched.

What happens to my saved data when I close the side panel?

Currently, all session state (reveals, enrichment, saved lists) is held in memory and clears when the panel is closed. Persistent storage across sessions is coming in a future update.

Can I save a company to a list without enriching it first?

Yes. The Save to List card is always available on the Company view. Use the "Save with Enrichment" toggle in the dropdown and turn it OFF to save without spending enrichment credits.

What's the difference between "Save to List" and "Save as Prospect"?

Save to List organizes the contact into a named list inside Saleshandy Lead Finder. Save as Prospect pushes them directly into Saleshandy Prospects, bypassing the list step entirely. Both options appear after a lead is revealed.

The "Save as Prospect" button isn't showing. Why?

Save as Prospect only appears after a lead is revealed. It won't show in the pre-reveal selection bar. Reveal the email first and the action card will appear.

What does the "Net New Only" filter do?

It hides any lead in the Decision Makers or All tab whose email or phone has already been revealed. Check it to see only the contacts you haven't spent credits on yet — useful when returning to a company's people list across multiple sessions.

My 50 free credits haven't appeared after installing. What do I do?

Credits are granted once per account on first install and login. Make sure you're logged in inside the extension (click the launcher button and sign in with your Saleshandy credentials). If credits still haven't appeared after a minute, try refreshing the Saleshandy web app.

For more help, visit the Saleshandy Help Center or click "How to use the Extension" in the Settings panel to watch a walkthrough video.
