CSV Enrichment in Lead Finder lets you upload your existing list of leads or companies and enrich them with verified contact and company data, without manually searching or using external tools.

Instead of building lists from scratch, you can now bring your own data (from events, CRMs, exports, or purchased lists) and enhance it directly inside Lead Finder.

What is CSV Enrichment?

CSV Enrichment is a Lead Finder feature that allows you to upload a spreadsheet of leads or companies and automatically enrich them with:

  • Verified email addresses

  • Direct phone numbers (where available)

  • Job titles and roles

  • Company details (industry, size, revenue, location, etc.)

  • Professional and firmographic data

This helps you turn raw or incomplete lists into fully usable prospect data for outreach.

How CSV Enrichment Works (Step-by-Step)

CSV Enrichment in Lead Finder works in a simple 3-step flow:

Step 1: Upload Your CSV File

You start by uploading a CSV file containing your list of leads or companies.

Each row should typically include identifiers like:

  • Name

  • Company name or domain

  • LinkedIn URL (optional but helpful)

  • Email (if available)

Once uploaded, Lead Finder validates the file and prepares it for mapping.

Step 2: Map Your Fields

Next, you map the columns in your CSV to Lead Finder’s enrichment fields.

For example:

  • First Name → first_name

  • Company → company_name

  • Email → email

Lead Finder automatically detects common columns and pre-fills mappings where possible. You can review and adjust these before proceeding.

This step ensures Lead Finder correctly understands your input data.

Step 3: Configure Enrichment & Start Processing

Once mapping is complete, you configure how you want to enrich your leads.

Depending on your selection, you can:

  • Enrich emails only

  • Enrich emails + phone numbers

  • Apply filters to refine which leads get enriched

  • Select output columns for your final file

After confirmation, Lead Finder starts processing your file in the background.

How Filters Work in CSV Enrichment

Filters help you control which leads from your file should be enriched.

Here’s how it works:

1. Lookup Phase (No Credits Used)

Lead Finder first scans all uploaded leads and retrieves available data such as:

  • Job title

  • Industry

  • Company size

  • Location

  • Other firmographic signals

This step is free and does not consume credits.

2. Filter Phase

Once data is retrieved, your selected filters are applied.

Only leads that match your filter conditions move forward to enrichment.

Example:

  • Only “VP-level roles”

  • Only “SaaS companies”

  • Only companies with 50–500 employees

3. Enrichment Phase (Credits Applied)

Credits are charged only for leads that pass the filters and are successfully enriched.

If a lead does not match or cannot be enriched, no credit is charged.

How Credits Work in CSV Enrichment

CSV Enrichment uses a component-based credit system:

  • Email enrichment consumes 1 credit per successful record

  • Email + phone enrichment consumes 7 credits per successful record

  • Company enrichment consumes 0.1 credits per successful record

Important points:

  • Credits are reserved before processing begins

  • You are only charged for successfully enriched records

  • Unmatched or failed rows are not charged

  • Unused reserved credits are released back to your account

What Happens After Processing?

Once enrichment is complete, you can:

View Enriched Data

Browse all successfully enriched leads inside Lead Finder in a structured table.

Download Results

Download a CSV file containing:

  • Your original columns

  • Enriched fields added as new columns

Review Failed Records

You can also download a failed report that includes:

  • Leads that could not be enriched

  • Reason for failure (e.g., no match found, invalid data)

Take Action on Leads

Directly from Lead Finder, you can:

  • Save enriched leads as Prospects

  • Add leads to a Sequence

  • Use them for outreach campaigns

CSV Requirements & Limits

To ensure successful processing:

  • File format must be CSV (.csv only)

  • Maximum file size: 25 MB

  • Maximum columns: 100

  • The header row is required

  • Encoding must be UTF-8

  • Row limits depend on your plan

FAQs

Do I get charged for all uploaded leads?

No. You are only charged for leads that are successfully enriched. Failed or unmatched records are not billed.

What happens if my CSV has leads that don’t match any data?

Those records are skipped and included in a failed report. No credits are deducted for them.

Can I use filters even if my CSV doesn’t contain those fields?

Yes. Filters work on enriched lookup data retrieved by Lead Finder, not just the columns in your CSV file.

Can I download both enriched and non-enriched data?

Yes. You can download:

  • Enriched file (successful records)

  • Failed report (unmatched or incomplete records)
