Hello there, Saleshandy users! 👋

In this guide, we will walk you through how to automate the data transfer between Saleshandy and Airtable using Zapier's Webhooks. This automation can help you log activities such as opens, clicks, replies, emails sent, replies received, emails bounced, prospects unsubscribed, prospects finished, prospect outcomes updated/changed, track interaction data, and streamline your sales and marketing processes efficiently.

What You’ll Need

  • A Zapier account.

  • A Saleshandy account.

  • An Airtable account.

  • Basic knowledge of how webhooks work.

Step 1️⃣: Setting Up the Webhook Trigger

  1. Log in to Zapier and choose "Create."

  2. Name your Zap appropriately for future reference.

  3. Set up the Trigger:

    • Choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger app.

    • Select Catch Hook as the trigger event. This setting will provide you with a custom webhook URL. Click on Continue and Skip pick off Child Key.

    • Copy the webhook URL provided by Zapier. You will need this URL to set up the outgoing webhook in Saleshandy.

Step 2: Configure Saleshandy to Send Data

  1. Log in to your Saleshandy account.

  2. Navigate to Settings and find the Webhooks section (this may vary based on your plan or updates in Saleshandy).

  3. Create a new webhook:

    • Paste the webhook URL from Zapier into the designated field.

    • Select the events in Saleshandy that will trigger the webhook (such as email opens, link clicks, etc.).

  4. Save & Test your webhook settings in Saleshandy to ensure it starts sending data to the Zapier URL upon the specified events.

Step 3️⃣: Set Up Action in Airtable

  1. After setting up your trigger, Zapier will ask you to test it. Send a test event from Saleshandy to confirm that Zapier is receiving the data.

  2. Once confirmed, click "+ Add Action" in your Zap setup.

  3. Search and select Airtable as the action app.

  4. Choose an action event, typically "Create Record," but you might select "Update Record" if you modify existing entries.

  5. Connect your Airtable account and select the specific base and table where you want to log the data.

  6. Set up the data input fields

    • Map fields from the webhook data to the corresponding fields in your Airtable table.

    • You can customize this according to the data received from Saleshandy and the fields available in your Airtable base.

  7. Test the Airtable action to ensure that the data from Saleshandy is correctly logged in your Airtable base.

Step 4️⃣: Activate Your Zap

  • After successful testing, Click on Publish. It will now automatically log specified events from Saleshandy into your Airtable base as they happen.

Conclusion

Automating the flow of information between Saleshandy and Airtable via webhooks in Zapier can significantly enhance your productivity and ensure that your databases are always up-to-date with the latest interaction data. This setup helps reduce manual data entry errors and saves valuable time.
