On sending an email campaign with Unsubscribe link ##{{Unsubscibeurl}}, the system will insert an Unsubscribe button in the header of your emails. When any of your recipients unsubscribe from there, you will get an email from Gmail regarding the unsubscription of the user.

In such cases, you will have to manually unsubscribe that user from your Contacts page by removing them from your mailing list.

Benefits of Unsubscribe links:

  1. Avoid recipient's frustration: It happens with time the recipient might get frustrated with your emails and the emails might not be relevant for them. In this case, they search for an unsubscribe button to unsubscribe from your emails. If they don?t find one, they might SPAM you.

  2. Helps you in Getting your emails in the Inbox: Adding an Unsubscribe link helps the user by not clicking on the SPAM button, which apparently helps you with better email deliverability and good open rates.

  3. The recipient can resubscribe any time: When a recipient unsubscribes from an unsubscribe button, you can get him back by making him resubscribe again. This cannot be done if the user SPAMs you.

SalesHandy adds an unsubscribe link in all your email campaigns and Sequences by default.

For V2 Legacy Version

If you do not want to add it to your emails, you can remove the unsubscribe link by clicking on the X button beside it. (This will only work if you're a V2 user, i.e., using the legacy version).

For V3 Latest version

To add an Unsubscribe link, please go to Sequence > Settings > Unsubscribe > Use Unsubscribe Link in Emails (enable the toggle) > Save

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Firewalls and Anti-Virus tech are activating unsubscribe links. How can I prevent this from happening?

I am afraid there is no way to stop this if the recipient's firewall is smart enough to catch the links. However, the chances are lesser if you have set the custom tracking domain.
