Hello there, Saleshandy users 👋

Safety Settings help you control how your emails behave inside a sequence. From stopping follow-ups after a reply to managing tracking and email format, these settings ensure your outreach is both safe and effective.

Where to Find Safety Settings in Saleshandy

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Sequences

  2. Click on the sequence you want to manage

  3. Open Sequence Settings

  4. Navigate to Safety Settings

Here, you’ll see all available safety options.

Safety Settings in Saleshandy Explained

Once you navigate, you will see these safety settings:

1️⃣ Stop Sending Follow-ups If a Reply Is Received

When enabled:

  • The sequence automatically stops sending further follow-ups once a prospect replies.

  • The prospect is considered “finished.”

When disabled:

  • Follow-ups will continue even if the prospect replies.

💡 Recommended to keep this enabled to avoid sending unnecessary emails.

2️⃣ Track Email Opens

When enabled:

  • You can see when a prospect opens your email.

When disabled:

  • Email open activity will not be tracked for that sequence.

⚠️ Note: Open tracking may impact deliverability depending on mailbox provider policies.

3️⃣ Track Link Clicks

When enabled:

  • You can track which links inside your emails are clicked.

When disabled:

  • Click activity will not be tracked.

💡 You may be prompted to set up a custom tracking domain for branded tracking links.

4️⃣ Remove Styling Automatically

This option removes heavy formatting from your emails.

When enabled:

  • The system strips extra styling to make the email cleaner and more deliverability-friendly.

This helps make emails look more natural and less promotional.

5️⃣ Send Emails as Text Only (No HTML)

You can choose:

  • Text-only for the first email
    OR

  • Text-only for all emails in the sequence

When enabled:

  • Emails are sent without HTML formatting.

  • Images, styled elements, and advanced formatting are removed.

⚠️ Important:

If you enable Text Only mode:

  • Open tracking will not work.

  • Link tracking will not work.

Text-only emails can improve deliverability and feel more personal.

Important Things to Know Before Updating Safety Settings

Before updating your Safety Settings, here are a few important things you should know to ensure everything works as expected.

1️⃣ Changes Apply After Re-Activating the Sequence

If you modify Safety Settings in an active sequence, the changes will not apply automatically.

You must:

  • Turn the sequence OFF

  • Then turn it ON again

This ensures your updated safety settings are applied correctly.

This is important and should definitely be included.

2️⃣ Text-Only Mode Impacts Tracking

You mentioned that tracking does not work in text-only mode, which is good. But it should be clearly stated as:

If Send Emails as Text Only is enabled:

  • Email open tracking will not work

  • Link click tracking will not work

  • Opened and Clicked tabs will not show data

This avoids confusion later when users think tracking is broken.

3️⃣ Tracking and Deliverability Trade-Off

Since tracking settings directly affect deliverability:

You should briefly add:

  • Open tracking uses tracking pixels.

  • Link tracking modifies URLs.

  • Some mailbox providers may flag emails with tracking elements.

This connects Safety Settings to real-world deliverability impact.

Keep it short, but it should be acknowledged.

4️⃣ Safety Settings Work Per Sequence

Clarify that:

  • Safety Settings are configured per sequence.

  • Changing settings in one sequence does not affect others.

This avoids confusion for users managing multiple sequences.

When Should You Use These Settings?

  • Enable Stop follow-ups on reply to avoid awkward double messaging.

  • Disable open tracking if deliverability is your top priority.

  • Use text-only mode for cold outreach.

  • Use the remove styling automatically to simplify email formatting.

Safety Settings give you better control over engagement, tracking, and deliverability. Review them carefully before activating your sequence to ensure your emails behave exactly how you want.
